I hope everyone has a great weekend! Here are the weekend's activities -
Advent Activities:
- Watch Holy Heroes Advent Adventures videos.
- Light two purple candles (Saturday) and two purples + pink (Sunday) on the Advent wreath.
- Make & hang Jesse tree ornaments. For Saturday, the symbol is a crown for Gideon proclaiming the coming of Christ the king. 1 Samuel 3:1 - 21, 7:1 to 8:22, 9:15 to 10:9 For Sunday, the symbol is a shepherd's staff for David who shepherded livestock and then, as God called him, men. 1 Samuel chapters 16 & 17, 2 Samuel 7:1 - 17.
- Say a decade of the rosary together.
- Open another door on our Advent calendars.
Getting things done: Saturday morning I'll be making lots of batches of gingerbread men. Saturday afternoon we will host a kids' cookie-decorating party. Sunday after mass we have a birthday party to go to at an indoor water park. I'll also be making goodies to give to community workers, including our doctors & staff.
