Last weekend before Christmas. Just breathe everyone! I have a few treats to point you toward:

1. Holy Heroes has a free coloring book with the story of Joseph that you can download for free.

2. Familia Catolica has a wonderful post about the Christmas season that everyone should read, especially now that it is getting so close to Christmas Day.

3. Tonight we went to a Christmas lights drive-through show at our baseball stadium. The lights "danced" to the music playing and a great song came on that I'd forgotten about:

Advent Activities:

- Watch Holy Heroes Advent Adventures videos.

- Light three candles on the Advent wreath on Saturday and on Sunday we light them all!

- Make and hang each weekend day's Jesse tree ornament. For Saturday, a wall for Nehemiah, representing the wall that was rebuilt around Jerusalem in order to keep the Sabbath a holy day of rest. Nehemiah 1:1-2:8, 6:15-16, 13:10-22 For Sunday, a scallop shell, symbol of baptism, for John the Baptist. Luke 1:57-80, 3:1-20, 7:18-30

- Say a decade of the rosary together.

- Open another door on our Advent calendars.

Getting things done:

Saturday is for family haircuts before Christmas. Sunday is for our annual tradition of getting in the car, playing Christmas music, and riding around looking at Christmas lights.

Have a blessed weekend!
