Ok, how cute are these felt gingerbread men cookies?! Also guess who the photo is from?
I apologize for these shorter (and later) posts while I am sick! I will make up for it a little by posting a Lagniappe Links today, which I haven't done in a while. Today we are supposed to be making a whole slew of gingerbread man cookies for our kids' cookie-decorating party this weekend. Maybe the three kids can spend the afternoon in the kitchen? Also planned for the weekend is a Holiday Home Tour, which I've been wanting to do for years, and a holiday get-together with my brother & his daughter to have goodies and watch Polar Express. Come on body of mine, heal thyself!
Advent Activities:
- Watch today's videos from Holy Heroes Advent Adventure.
- Light the purple candle on the Advent wreath and read today's liturgy.
- Make and hang today's Jesse tree ornament, a ram, which was the sacrifice that God gave Abraham when he was willing to give up his only son. Genesis 22:1-19 No special snack today, just veggies & ranch dip. Anyone have suggestions?
- Say a rosary decade.
- Open another door in our Advent calendars.
Getting things done: This weekend we are supposed to have a kids' cookie-decorating party so today's to-do is to make dozens of gingerbread men!
